What is the difference between a Blog and Wiki?

What is a blog?:

A blog is where you post things which are personnel to you. For example you post your classwork or homework on here. Nobody else but you can access your blog, well except your Teacher. It is basically a  personal website or web page on which an individual records opinions, links to other sites, etc. on a regular basis.

What is a Wiki?:

Wiki is a software that allows users to freely create and edit Web pages using any Web browser. Wiki supports hyperlinks. Unlike a blog which is public, a wiki is public and can be edited by users who have an account. Everything on a wiki is supposed to be true.

What is a digital portfolio?

An electronic portfolio is a collection of electronic evidence assembled and managed by a user, usually on the web. Such electronic evidence may include inputted text, electronic files, images, multimedia, blog entries, and hyperlinks. E-portfolios are both demonstrations of the user's abilities and platforms for self-expression.

His portfolio is very organised and planned out, but some areas of his portfolio have links that take you nowhere. He has very good life goals and is a very good portfolio

Advantages and Disadvantages of a digital Portfolio?

• The advantages:
• Post alot of different things
• Brings back memories
• The disadvantages:
• If you make something it is accessible publicly
• But if you make a mistake it can be very embarrassing.

so the ultimate difference is that a blog is very personal and can be only accessed and edited by people you have given your Account details. a wiki is public and anyone with an account can edit it.
